Things have gone too far.

Yes, the streets are busy, but the streets are also… empty.

Where are the kids? Inside on their screens.

What’s the excuse? It’s not safe, it’s not fun.

Well, we’re not having it.

It’s up to us grownups to set the stage. Stake out a spot, a street, a sidewalk, a parking lot. All it takes is a family or two.

Put up signs, and you’ll take down obstacles.

We have a beacon for all the world to see.

It means “slow down, cars!” But also “this neighborhood cares.” And sometimes it’s, “these people know how to party.”

It’s a positive sign. And it can’t wait. It’s time to make a move for movement.
