After three years of work, we weren't able to raise the funding to bring the Play It Safe Tower into production. Thank you to everyone who followed along, cheered us on, and put down a deposit. Your support meant a great deal to us.

Why Play it Safe? Outdoor play faces challenges:
A Pedestrian Safety Crisis.
Pedestrian safety is a critical concern, with alarming statistics highlighting the urgency of our mission. According to the CDC, 285 individuals are struck by vehicles daily in the United States¹. This crisis demands innovative solutions, and Outside Now is at the forefront, advocating for safer streets and improvised outdoor play spaces.
A generation of quitters.
Participation in organized sports has dropped from 45% in 2008 to 38% in 2018, with lower income families participating even less due to high costs and time commitment from parents.² The average kid quits by age eleven, citing lack of enjoyment.
A different landscape, inside and out
Shifts in technology, commerce and urban planning have pushed more cars, large trucks, and vans onto smaller streets, making what were once quiet side streets risky places to play.
The rise of online entertainment and video games makes it easier for families to choose indoor play, where traffic is not a factor.
This situation is not healthy for anyone. Getting Outside Now is a great place to start making a change.
